Essential Job Duties

The Department of Health and Exercise Studies at North Carolina State University seeks applications for Lecturers to teach undergraduate physical activity courses (e.g., aerobics, water aerobics, high intensity interval training (HIIT), functional movement, cycling, running, weight training, etc.). Responsibilities include teaching and grading one (1) credit-hour courses (primarily).

The position(s) are part-time; one-semester non-tenure-track appointments with possibility of renewal. Compensation is determined by the number of assigned credit hours.

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Requires a master’s degree, an equivalent degree, or equivalent professional experience.

Other Required Qualifications

  • Candidates must have expertise in teaching physical activity courses. Examples include: aerobics, water aerobics, high intensity interval training (HIIT), functional movement, cycling, running, weight training, etc.
